Who should join ANREP?

ANREP is a national association for Cooperative Extension professionals working in youth and adult environmental education, marine fisheries, aquaculture, forestry, wood sciences, range management, nature-based tourism/recreation, waste management/recycling, water conservation/quality, soil conservation, wildlife/native species, invasive species, green space preservation, renewable energy/bioenergy, and related disciplines. Members are active and retired Extension employees at the county, area, state, or national level.  Watch this short video about Georgia ANREP!

What are ANREP's objectives?

  • Bring Extension professionals together to discuss mutual natural resource issues, needs, and opportunities
  • Advance natural resource Extension through continuing education for Extension professionals
  • Promote cooperation among states and regions, agencies, associations, and businesses on natural resource education programs
  • Develop, sponsor, and promote education and trainings that advance natural resource management
  • Strengthen communication with Extension administrators, elected officials, and natural resource stakeholders

How is Georgia ANREP structured?

ANREP is managed by a President, President-elect, Secretary, and Treasurer. Committees deal with strategic planning, communications, policies, awards, and membership. General membership meetings are held annually. ANREP is a member of the Joint Council of Extension Professionals (JCEP), which promotes communication, cooperation and professionalism among Extension professional organizations, ECOP, and USDA-NIFA.
