Support OUR Mission!
The Natural Resources Extension Education Foundation (NREEF) supports and strengthens Extension Education programs that teach individuals and communities how to responsibly manage forests, wildlife, water resources, native plants, and natural areas. NREEF's aim is to help Extension Educators deliver high quality, science based information where it is needed most. NREEF is a young IRS-approved charitable foundation that was born out of ANREP.
Ways to Give and Make an Impact
- Direct or Monthly Gifts: Flexible contributions - whether one time or recurring - provide steady support for meetings, workshops, trainings, and new Natural Resource Extension resources. Monthly donors help NREEF support long term educational needs.
- Honorary & Memorial Gifts: Recognize colleagues, mentors, family members, and especially those who are retiring or have passed away. These gifts extend their legacy by supporting the next generation of conservation educators and leaders.
- IRA Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs): Individuals aged 70½ and older can make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) directly from an IRA to NREEF. This tax advantaged option fulfills the annual RMD requirement while providing meaningful support for conservation education.
- Corporate & Organizational Support: Businesses, partner organizations, and professional groups can contribute through sponsorships, grants, matching gift programs, or direct donations. These collaborations help expand NREEF's reach to more communities and learners.
- Planned Giving & Gifts of Securities: Including NREEF in an estate plan, or donating appreciated stocks and mutual funds, creates long lasting support for ANREP's biennial meetings and initiatives. These methods can offer tax benefits while helping sustain NREEF's mission for the future.
Every contribution to NREEF - large or small - helps advance our own kind of Extension Education programs now and into the future!
